One lazy afternoon, after wanting to have a complete package of massage, mud wrap and body scrub, I had to stick with Foot Massage. Don't ask why. :p I was in Makati that time and decided to try Blue Water Day Spa. A friend mentioned that she went there about a week ago and was satisfied with the service. Blue Water doesn't have a wet floor though, I'm not sure if they do in their other branches. But in their Makati branch, they don't. I went in for a 30-minute foot massage for P270.00.
There were not much people for I went on a weekday. I asked the receptiontist if they have private rooms, and she told me that they do have private rooms for body trreatments (such as body massages), and foot massages/spas are done in the common room. Good thing there was nobody in the common room, so I had it all to myself.
Again, I wasn't able to bring my camera, so there's no photo. The therapist brought in the foot spa, but instead of the usual hot tea, they used bubbly soap and water. I soaked my feet for about 10 minutes. I was already pretty bored that time and was so happy when the therapist finally came back in.
She started massaging my feet and used a spray instead of the regular cream as lotion. I dozed off, but I knew I wasn't fully satisfied. I'm used to and fond of the Thai massage where they use hard pressure and reflexology. This time, they used Xiammen massage which was more for relaxing. We finished about 30 minutes to 40 minutes all in all.
They also didn't massage my head, back or arms. According to the receptionist, that service is Foot Refloxology, and it's about P460 if I'm not mistaken.
So I think it's pretty obvious that I wasn't that satisfied with the massage I got. I'm thinking maybe I'll give them another chance next time. Maybe I'll try their foot reflexology next time. If you're into light hand relaxing massage, maybe you'd like it. But as for me, I really like hard pressure massages, and even though I asked the therapist to exert more and make it harder, it's still too light for my liking.
Have another so-so experience with a spa in a mall. I'll post an entry about that next time. :)

thanks for this review, never been here! But i love massages to death! lol so this is useful :)
Yeah I am a spa fanatic! I really love massages, especially foot massages. That's why I'm quite picky and I'm really a critic when it comes to massages. :)

BEWARE OF THEFT! We availed the services at the Blue Water Day Spa Greenhills. After getting a foot and body massage) my brother (the only male in our group of 5) discovered that someone opened his locker and stole php10,000 from his wallet and both his cellphones from his pants pocket! The lock was not tampered with so we can only imagine that they had a master key to open. How can a Spa encourage you to relax and leave your belongings in a 'secure place'? The key to his locker was within his sight at all times except for when they placed him on his back and put a towel over his eyes.
The owners did not care nor did the managers. Wanted us to go to the police and make a report instead of getting the police to investigate. They are insinuating that a customer would have stole it? Why would a customer go to the trouble of stealing his cellphones and money from his pant pockets, and pick a locker open when these customer could afford to come in and avail the services in the first place!
Can only imagine that this was an inside job!
Beware! Do not avail Blue Water Day Spa - not only do they have thieves amongst their midst but are insensitive to their customers!!!

Hi again, I'm so sorry that we have to disturb the comments in your blog. But there's an allegation posted here by an anonymous poster.
We have answered their concern before in another blog site here (see comments section): http://boy-kuripot.blogspot.com/2009/04/bluewater-day-spa-blog-contest.html
Here's our message:
Mam/Sir, we're so sorry that you felt that way but we've been in operation for 4 years and there hasn't been a case like this. We've served countless clients and did it with the best customer service. A little correction is that we care about our clients very much.
On our side, We wanted to go thru due process and called the police which they said to report on their station. As a matter of fact, one of our staff even went to the station to see just one staff in the office and can't go to investigate. When they did have time they came and did the due investigation.
As for the accusation, we would like to wait for the investigation to come out before we do say anything. These are theories that is yet to be proved.
We will update everyone on the police reports once it's out.
----------- 2nd message ------------
Mam / Sir, we're not lying. we did call the police and even the barangay. Our staff even went there, we called the other manager (guy) from our other branch to go to the police station. He came later on to assist you on the matter. You could confirm with the police and barangay on this matter.
We understand that you stayed for more than 6 hours, we're really sorry that you've had such a bad experience and we're doing all we can to resolve this matter as quickly and in due process.
We're currently working with the police, as well as, the staff involved on the matter. And once the situation is concluded, we'll be updating everyone.
